Clergy Study Day

A tranquil setting for clergy seeking a day away from the parish for reading, studying, or sermon preparation. Attendees are welcome to arrive at the Abbey either in time for Morning Prayer at 8 am or any time after at their convenience, and to stay either until Evening Prayer at 5 pm or to leave earlier if preferred. Midday Prayers are at 12:30 pm, followed by a brief reflection on the lectionary readings for the upcoming Sunday led either by Archdeacon Mark Ireland or Canon Neil Kelley. There will be an opportunity during lunch to discuss the passages, which will be particularly beneficial for those who preach on the lectionary.

Neil will join us where possible on these study days and is happy to chat to you in his capacity as Assistant Archdeacon with responsibility for Clergy Wellbeing.

The day fee £8 includes refreshments, or £20 with lunch, to be paid on the day by card. Please book your place below!
