Residential Retreat

“Now that I am free to be myself, who am I?” Change can mean very different things to different people at different times of our lives. It can hold threat or promise for us. This time is an opportunity to pause, take a deep breath and be still.

We will engage with art, poetry, scripture, music, and times of silence, bringing our personal situation into the presence of God. There we can encounter the source of peace, love and hope.

The is a 3-night retreat and the cost of full board is £299.

The retreat is led by Andrew and Wendy Rudd. Andrew is passionate about finding wonder in the ordinary. In this he is helped particularly by poetry, music, nature and two wonderful grandchildren. He lives in Frodsham, Cheshire, where he is a Reader at St Laurence Church. He is also a poet and a spiritual companion. He teaches spirituality on courses for Pastoral Workers and Spiritual Companions, and leads quiet days, retreats and writing workshops.

Wendy glimpses God in the ordinary: in nature, creativity and encounter with others. Sometimes this happens in unexpected places - handling materials, layering paints, enjoying colour. After many years supporting young children with additional needs, and their families, she now offers a safe space in listening and spiritual accompaniment.
