Year of Contemplation 2026: God Was There- Creation Retreat

‘All I did is sit in creation, and God was there.’ Come and be. Engage and encounter God in His gift of creation through creative prayer. The retreat includes getting your hands dirty as well as woodland activities, so please bring appropriate outdoor clothing.

Rev Canon Cindy Rigney is the Vicar and Area Dean of Dolphinholme, Quernmore and Over Wyresdale & Tunstall. She loves to bring people in touch with nature through worship and has inspired many through Forest Church. Revd Hilary Murphy is the Resident Chaplain at Whalley Abbey. Living in the bush in South Africa, she developed a deep gratitude for both God’s provision through and presence in creation.

The cost of the retreat is £235, including materials.
