Forest Church Creation Retreat - “Life in all it’s fullness” (Year of Contemplation 2026)

Engage and encounter God in His gift of creation through creative prayer.

Rev Canon Cindy Rigney is the Vicar and Area Dean of Dolphinholme, Quernmore and Over Wyresdale & Tunstall. She loves to bring people in touch with nature through worship and continues to inspire many through Forest Church. Rev Hilary Murphy, Resident Chaplain at Whalley Abbey has a deep gratitude for both God’s provision and presence in creation through living in the bush in South Africa whilst serving people suffering from HIV/AIDS in the townships.

Itinerary includes:

Forest Church all ages activities (teaching practice)

Reflections on Eden

Journeying with readings and prayers

Outdoor Eucharist

Firepit Gathering

All these activities may be useful to those intending to lead small all-age groups.

The retreat includes getting your hands dirty as well as woodland activities, so please bring appropriate outdoor clothing.

The cost of the retreat is £235, including materials and full board in one of our comfortable bedrooms.
