Refiner’s Fire – Fused Glass Creative Retreat

Refiner’s Fire- Fused Glass Retreat

A chance to explore what the art of fusing glass can teach us about God’s care for us, and how brokenness can be transformed into beauty through surrender. The retreat will include teaching, worship, space for personal reflection and conversation, and of course hands-on opportunity to be creative with glass. All materials, tuition and firing costs are included, and each participate will have the opportunity to create and keep two pieces of fused glass.

The cost of the retreat is £230, plus materials.

Please bring a Bible (or Bible app) and any other creative resources, such as sketch books or notepads, of which you may wish to make use during the retreat.

Revd Cathy Malins came to Blackburn Diocese to serve her curacy at St James’s Church, Lower Darwen. Cathy is also a glass artist and has exhibited and sold handmade fused glass for over 15 years. A fan of texture and form, Cathy has used the themes she sees in glass making to lead retreats and workshops centred on the transforming power of surrendering to God’s care and craftsmanship.
