  • Whalley Abbey 2 The Sands Clitheroe, England, BB7 9SS United Kingdom (map)

Christmas Wreath-Making and Afternoon Tea

Bring joy to your home over the festive period with a beautiful Christmas wreath created by you! You will be guided on the practical skills while also learning the origins of wreath-making and the Christian symbolism behind it. All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring any embellishments from home. Refreshments on arrival and afternoon tea are included.

Why not come in the morning for a walk around the grounds (please have suitable footwear) and join midday prayers at 12.30 pm. You are also welcome to stay for evening prayer at 5.30 pm.

Led by Rev. Hilary Murphy, a spiritual director who values the way creativity blesses and heals our lives, and Fiona Atkinson, the Whalley Abbey events coordinator who will be teaching the craft of wreath-making.
